Bulk Actions in Test Cases Overview

On the Test Details page, Functionize users have the ability to perform bulk updates or deletes on multiple actions within a test case. This provides a streamlined way to manage bulk changes efficiently.

Bulk Delete Actions

Steps to Bulk Delete Actions

  1. Open a Test:

    • Navigate to the Test Details page of the test you want to modify.

  2. Access Bulk Delete Actions:

    • Open the Test Action Settings menu.
    • Select the "Bulk Delete Actions" option.

  3. Confirm Bulk Delete:

    • A confirmation pop-up will display. Click "Confirm" to proceed.

  4. Select Actions to Delete:

    • Select the instructions/actions to be deleted by checking the checkbox to the left of the instruction or action.
      Note: If an instruction is selected, all actions within that instruction will be deleted.

  5. Delete Actions:

    • Click the "Delete" button.

  6. Confirm Deletion:

    • A confirmation message will display. Confirm the deletion.
      Note: If the user selects the "Remove Instructions" box, the selected actions along with instructions will be deleted.

Bulk Update Actions

Steps to Bulk Update Actions

  1. Open a Test:

    • Navigate to the Test Details page of the test you want to modify.

  2. Access Bulk Update Actions:

    • Open the Test Action Settings menu.
    • Select the "Bulk Update Actions" option.

  3. Select Actions to Update:

    • Select the Pageinit actions to update the URL and/or window size.

  4. Update Actions:

    • Click the "Update" button.

  5. Enter Update Details:

    • The "Update Actions" pop-up will appear.

    • Enter the new URL, window width, and/or window height, or select the options needed to update the test case:

      • Skip action
      • Skip screenshot
      • Clear cookies
      • Enable force React
      • Remove skip action
    • Click the "Save" button to apply the changes.

By following these steps, users can efficiently manage bulk updates and deletions of test actions within Functionize, ensuring streamlined and effective test case management.
