What is ACS - Advanced Connection Security?

What is ACS?

  • Advanced Connection Security (ACS) is a secure way of communicating between Functionize - the infrastructure which is running your automated tests, and your  environment

How ACS Works

  • ACS uses an industry leading secure connection provider (Tailscale) to establish a zero trust secure connection
  • ACS specifically allows for the establishing of a wireguard protocol based VPN tunnel, which secures all communications necessary to facilitate test execution for systems under test internal to the customer environment.

Who Needs To Facilitate ACS Install

  • End Users
    • To set up tests and fill out necessary test settings, after onboarding
  • Security Administrators
    • To allow the setup of the necessary ACS client (security review)
  • System Administrators (IT Operations)
    • To fill out the ACS Systems questionnaire
    • To setup the necessary ACS client (facilitated through an onboarding meeting with Functionize DevOps)
