Upload a File to Use in an Architect Test Case

There are 2 ways to upload a file to use in an Architect created test case:

  • Upload files while saving the test case immediately upon creation. 
  • Upload file anytime after saving the test case. This way allows for the ability to edit the test case settings and update the attached file to be uploaded.

To Upload a File During the Initial Test Case Creation Process

  1. Create a test case in Architect.

  2. Once complete, click Save and name the test case.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Select any additional Project Details, then click Submit.
  5. If the test case has a file to upload, (which in this case it does) Functionize will recognize this at the Initial Test Run Verification screen.

  6. Click Attach File and select the file to be uploaded in the test case. Maximum file size allowed is 20mb.

  7. A confirmation of mceclip2.png will signify the file has been attached successfully.

  8. Click Submit.

To Confirm a Successful Upload

  1. Go to the Test Case page
  2. Select Actions button >> Details from the drop down.
  3. Click on Test Settings button >> Edit Test Settings.

  4. From the Test Settings display window, select the Files tab. See confirmation that the file is there.

To Edit the Existing Upload File

  1. Go to the Test Case page
  2. Select Actions button >> Details from the drop down.
  3. Click on Test Settings button >> Edit Test Settings.
  4. From the Test Settings display window, select the Files tab.
    NOTE: The files tab will only display if a file has been attached previously.
  5. Click Attach File and browse for the file.
  6. Click Submit when complete.
  7. A confirmation of mceclip2.png will signify the file has been attached successfully.
